Remote Printing and Encoding Solution

Remote Printing and Encoding Solution

Key Features & Modules

Card Design & Layout: Provides tools to configure card orientation, size, background images, basic shapes, fixed labels, dynamic text, dates, times, barcodes, QR codes, photos, logos, and digital signatures.

Database Connectivity: Supports internal databases (MS-Access, MS-SQL) and external data sources (MS Access, Excel, Oracle, MySQL) via OLEDB/ODBC or API integration to automatically populate cardholder details.

Printing Operations: Supports single-side, dual-side, single-card, batch, and automated printing across various printer brands (such as Swift ID, HID Fargo, Zebra, and Entrust). It also includes print queue management to prevent printer overload and reduce consumable wastage.

Enrollment Stations:

Portable Stations: Compact, all-in-one biometric and biographical enrollment units equipped with a camera, biometric reader, signature pad, MRZ swipe, and smart card reader.

Kiosks: Sleek, self-service units featuring a touchscreen, passport/ID scanner, barcode scanner, smart card reader, biometric scanner, high-pixel camera, and printer/dispenser.

System Architectures

The platform can be deployed using three primary architectural setups:

  1. Centralized Approach: Utilizes a single print server on-premise connected to local network printers, suitable for single-branch operations with multiple users and devices.
  2. Distributed On-Premise Approach: Spreads printers across multiple branches via WAN/VPN while communicating through a central application server.
  3. Distributed On-Cloud Approach: Deploys the RPMS application on-cloud while utilizing a Print Management Service (PMS) at each branch to poll the cloud server for print requests, sync statuses, and manage local printing.

Monitoring & Management

  • Remote Monitoring: Tracks real-time printer status (e.g., ready, busy, offline, error), consumable levels (ribbon, film, lamination percentage), and print job progress.
  • Remote Control: Allows authorized administrators to perform maintenance tasks remotely, such as resetting or restarting printers and managing password protections.
  • Audit Reporting: Generates detailed audit trails tracking printed card information, counts, operator details, and duplicate print remarks, with options to export data to Excel and PDF.
